At your initial assessment your physiotherapist will take a detailed history. This will be followed by an examination of the area. We will discuss the findings with you prior to starting treatment. Treatment will be tailored towards your individual needs.
How long does each appointment last?
Treatment times are variable however new patient assessments will usually take 60 minutes. Follow up treatments will usually take between 45-60 minutes.
Do I need to be referred by my GP?
No, you may consult a chartered physiotherapist without a GP referral. Contact may be made with your GP, only with your permission after the initial assessment. We work closely with local GP’s and consultants to ensure you receive the best possible care.
What do I need to do to book an appointment?
If you wish to refer yourself for private Physiotherapy treatment all you need to do is contact us through the ‘contact us’ section of the website or give us a call.We will be able to book an appointment that is convenient for you. If you have health insurance you may need to have a referral from your doctor. Please check with your health insurance provider first.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
If you have health insurance please bring the policy details to your first appointment. If you have any other information such as MRI/XRAY results relevant to your condition please bring them with you. If you would like to bring a chaperone with you they are welcome to attend your appointment with you. All patients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
What if I am not sure Physiotherapy will help me?
You are welcome to telephone or email for advice without obligation. We will be able to advise you whether or not you are suitable for Physiotherapy assessment or treatment.
Is it possible to have a home visit?
Yes. There may be an additional charge for home visits, please contact us for further details.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for cancelled appointment otherwise you will be charged the full rate for the missed appointment.
